Optical disks (CD-disks and DVD-disks) sometimes contains silver or gold in the internal reflective layer. The layer is extremely thin, measured in mg per disk.
Not all disks contains any precious metal, most mass produced CD:s and DVD:s contain aluminum instead of gold or silver, while most writable or rewritable disks uses a silver or gold layer as a reflector.
